The Rules as they relate to using Bookbreakrs

Making predictions

  1. All predictions are made in accordance with our rules & terms and conditions.
  2. Prices displayed are subject to fluctuation. Predictions made will be settled using the prices displayed at the point in time when you submit your prediction.
    1. n/a prices: occasionally we do not receive prices for market runners - this is denoted with n/a. This is typically due to a issue with a third party provider. In such instances, we will endeavour to manually update prices after a game has ended.
    2. When prices are updated manually, the price allocated to a market runner is determined by Bookbreakrs & our decision is final.
  3. We endeavour to ensure that dates & kick off times of matches on Bookbreakrs are accurate. We use third-party data providers so we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. We do not accept responsibility for any issues arising as a result of a third-party error.
  4. All predictions are based on 'normal time' & results are based on the outcome at 'full-time'. Both relate to the result after 90 minutes play - this includes any injury/stoppage time added on by the match official at the end of normal time. Extra time & penalty shoot-out's do not count.
  5. If you make a prediction on a match that is subsequently voided, abandoned or rescheduled we will follow the rules of the relevant Football Association authority with regard to settlement of the event.
  6. When a match has been scheduled by the relevant governing body to run for a shorter period of time, such as 60, 70 or 80 minutes, predictions placed on these matches will be settled at the end of the agreed match length. This includes any injury/stoppage time added on by the match official at the end of normal time. Extra time and penalty shoot-out's do not count.
  7. When a match is played at a neutral venue, the team listed on the left will be classed as the home team for settlement purposes.
  8. Settlement/updating of predictions & ranking positions will occur right after the match ends as long as there are no outage issues with our service providers.

Match result

  1. 'Match result' refers to the outcome of the match in ‘normal time’ - home win, draw or away win. This is denoted on Bookbreakrs as 1 | X | 2. 1 for home win, X for draw & 2 for away win.
  2. Relevant rules highlighted in the ‘Making predictions’ section apply.

Both to score

  1. For the 'Both to score' market you simply have to decide if you think both teams will score or not. For ‘Yes’ to win, both teams must score. For ‘No’ to win, one or both teams must not score to win.
  2. Relevant rules highlighted in the ‘Making predictions’ section apply.

2.5 goal-line

  1. For the '2.5 goal-line' market you simply have to decide if you think there will be over or under 2.5 goals in the match. For over 2.5 to win, you need a minimum of 3 goals in the game to win. For under 2.5 goals you need 2 goals or less to win.
  2. Relevant rules highlighted in the ‘Making predictions’ section apply.

Prediction prices

When making predictions, the price for your selection will be deemed to be the price on-site when you submit your prediction. Prices on-site are refreshed at least once every 5 minutes. Predictions will be settled at the price indicated against your prediction in My Account. Always ensure your predictions have been submitted correctly by checking them in your profile. You can change your predictions right up until kick-off – after the game has kicked off you can no longer change your predictions.

Information

Although we make every effort to ensure all information displayed on-site (fixtures, prices etc) is correct, we rely on third parties for this information & cannot guarantee 100% accuracy at all times. Information, such as venue, score & time of game should be used as a guide – if you are unsure as to the accuracy of any information let us know via the contact page that can be accessed from your profile menu in My Account.

Postponed Matches

When a match is postponed, all predictions placed on that match will be void. A postponement is defined as when a match does not take place on the scheduled day and is not replayed within one calendar day after that. A postponed match can occur for a variety of reasons such as inclement weather, security/policing, power failure, crowd trouble and many others. If a postponed match is not resolved or replayed within 24 hours after it should have taken place all of the predictions on this event will be voided.

Abandoned Matches

When a match is abandoned, the following rules apply when settling predictions:

An abandonment is deemed to be where a match is halted before the completion of the allotted match time and not played out to a conclusion on the same day.

A match that is interrupted (e.g. inclement weather), but then plays to a conclusion on the same day will not count as an abandonment and predictions will be settled on the outcome at the end of the match.

When a match is abandoned, no replays or awarding of the result by governing bodies will count towards prediction settlements.

There are some exceptions that relate to specific tournaments. Predictions will stand if a match is played within two calendar days of the originally scheduled fixture in the following competitions:

  1. FIFA World Cup (Qualification and Finals),
  2. UEFA European Championships (Qualification and Finals),
  3. African Cup of Nations (Qualification and Finals),
  4. Confederations Cup (Qualification and Finals),
  5. UEFA Europa League or Champions League (Qualification and Finals),
  6. and any UK domestic cup final/playoff match
  7. or Spanish domestic match.

One other exception is the Olympic Games, where predictions will stand on a match as long as it is played before the closing ceremony.

Obvious Price or Terms Errors

  1. We do all that we can to avoid errors, however, sometimes we cannot take responsibility. Obvious errors, also referred to as palpable errors, or omissions in respect of the announcing, publishing or marking of prices, handicaps, or results sometimes occur despite our efforts to ensure total accuracy.
  2. In the event that we make an obvious error, which occurs when the odds/terms offered are materially different from that available in the general market and/or are clearly incorrect given the probability of the event occurring, we reserve the right to amend that error and settle predictions at the correct result/odds/terms applicable when the prediction was struck.
  3. If there is an obvious error impacting predictions where the event has not yet started we will fix the error applying the correct odds/terms.

Duplicate fixtures

In the event of a duplicate fixture we will remove the duplicate game & endeavour to amend impacted predictions manually.
